Nursing Assistant

This certificate program is a 10 week class designed to offer practical experience in nursing assistant training to aid the participant in finding employment as a healthcare team under the direction of a healthcare professional. Students must submit a completed application by mid August. For additional information call (662) 621-4687.
Students who apply for the Nursing Assistant Program must meet the following requirements:

  1. Completed application
  2. Official copy of high school transcript or Official GED passing scores
  3. TABE scores
  4. ACT score of 16 or higher will be accepted in place of the Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE) test.  ACT test not required for admission.
  5. Copy of Drivers License
  6. Social Security Card
  7. Immunization Record showing:
    1. MMR
    2. Hepatitis B series (can be completed after entry to program)
    3. Varicella or chicken pox shot or titers (can be completed after entry to program)
    4. 2-step TB skin test
    5. Flu vaccine

*A $100 deposit is required for a Criminal Background and Drug Screen prior admission.
